Here’s what I’ve learned about overcoming bad habits. The trick is to focus on what you want (health, to be more active) and NOT on what you don’t want (being overweight or unhealthy).
Then next step is to set health goals that pass the S.M.A.R.T. test.
A study at Harvard Business School in 1979 did a study. Only three percent of the graduates had written goals and plans. Ten year later, they were earning, on average, ten times as much as the other 97% put together!
So…write your goals down and the reasons why you want to achieve them. Reading them frequently will help to keep focused on getting where you want to go.
