GIVE THE GIFT OF HEALTH! One of the most rewarding things I’ve done all year is helping others  get healthy.  In a few short weeks, many Americans will make New Year’s  Resolution that include some form of getting healthy, like losing  weight.   Studies by the National Weight Control Registry show  that clients who utilize a Health Coach, along with our plan, are 4  times more likely to be successful! At  the same time, studies show that 85% of those that are just on a diet  will gain back their weight and more within two years. The  problem is there just aren’t enough coaches to help everyone who needs  assistance.  In order to address this, TSFL is offering bonus incentives  for each health coach who helps five new clients by Dec 31st. New  Health Coaches are eligible for additional bonuses. BAD INFLUENCES

Holiday Tip: Stay away from bad influences! Avoid people who try to sabotage your efforts! They may put you down for losing weight. They may bring donuts into work or encourage you to eat more than you want to. These people may feel threatened by your decision to get healthy. Whatever the reason…stay away! If a family member or friend is sabotaging your program, then have a discussion with them and explain how important getting healthy is to you and that their support for your efforts is much appreciated! Hopefully they will have a change of heart and possibly join you too!

ASPARAGUS GUACAMOLE  (Guilt-Free Dip!)

Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds asparagus, cut into small pieces
1 Tablespoon fat-free Greek-style yogurt
1 Tablespoon lime juice
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
3 green onions, thinly sliced
1/2 jalapeno pepper, minced
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tomato, diced
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 dash hot pepper sauce
Salt and ground black pepper to taste
 
Directions:
Place the asparagus into a steamer insert and set into a pot over one inch of water; bring the water to a boil. Place a cover on the pot and steam the asparagus for 5 minutes. Transfer the asparagus to the bowl of a food processor and puree until smooth.
 
Combine the asparagus puree with the yogurt, lime juice, cilantro, green onions, jalapeno pepper, garlic, tomato, Worcestershire sauce, and hot pepper sauce in a large bowl; gently stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper. Chill in refrigerator until completely cooled.
